97 dead fish observed in pond at Ashbrook Apartments on Delaware in Ankeny. Fish appear to be bluegills. Fish were reported to have something growing on them. Allegedly a spill occurred up-gradient of the pond. Information on spill was very sketchy. Doesn't appear to impact pond.

The fish were observed with Columnaris bacteria and a fungus which killed them due to crowded, stressful conditions. A natural kill.
