The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. This project will remove the existing patio wall on the south east side of the lodge at Lake Wapello State Park. This wall has been deteriorating for years and needs attention. After removal of existing stone and concrete, contractor shall pour a new foundation wall in the same profile of the existing wall with a stone ledge. Contractor will install stone facing and patio stones.

CENTER LAKE WETLANDS - WATER CONTROL STRUCTURE REPLACEMENTS

This project is designed to replace two existing water control structures on two separate wetlands within the Center Lake Wetland Complex in Dickinson County, Iowa. Work under this project includes removal of two "Wisconsin" Style Water Control Structures (WCS), installation of one new corrugated metal pipe structure, and installation of one precast Reinforced Concrete structure. Other work includes earthfill (backfill & dike repair), excavation (channel), manufacturing of water level and fish exclusion components, Rip Rap, seeding, and erosion control.

The fish room at Manchester Fish Hatchery needs emergency power in the event the power goes out. This emergency power will run all of the life-support systems in the hatchery so loss of fish will be at a minimum. The contractor shall install a generator, supplied by the owner, on contractor constructed concrete pad. The contractor shall then run new service line to the building's electrical panel to power the necessary items.
This project is designed to selectively excavate sediment from 4 different Oxbow locations along the Raccoon River within the White Horse Wildlife Management Area in Sac County, Iowa. Work under this project includes removal of trees for construction, excavation of post-settlement alluvium (PSA) to a staked line and grade, transportation of the excavated material to approved spoil areas, and leveling of spoils at a depth and area specified.
