The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

This project consists of restoring Okoboji Island to near original size and height, armoring the perimeter of the island with 593 tons of fieldstone revetment, excavation of 300 cubic yards to reclaim island fill, provide and place 350 cubic yards of topsoil, and incidental work as directed by DNR inspector.
This Project will install six (6) new security gates at three locations within Lake Manawa State Park. These gates will keep people out of the Park while closed and allow free access to the Park during operational hours.
This project consists of pavement maintenance for 5.9 miles of HMA roadway, including fog sealing, cleaning and filling cracks, milling and joint repair, 1.2 miles of HMA roadway overlay, and incidental work as directed by DNR inspector.

This project will coffer dam a portion of Beed's Lake to draw water below the fish pond pipe, which has been found to be leaking down stream of the dam. This cast iron pipe will be televised by the contractor to see where the leak is occurring. After drawing down the coffer dam area, the contractor shall remove the existing valve in the dam control vault, bolt/weld new cap plates on both ends of the pipe, put a birds mouth on both ends and fill the pipe section with non-shrink grout.
This project consists of installing a pre-fabricated concrete building along with the booster pump and pressure tanks and other miscellaneous work associated with the project.

This project consists of repairing wind and wave erosion to 10 fishing jetties and 950 feet of shoreline at 5 sites by placing revetment on the side slopes, crushed rock surfacing on the tops of the jetties, and other incidental work as required by the DNR Field Engineer.
This project is designed to recreate a wetland dewatering channel within Kiowa Marsh (Sac County). The channel shall be 5' wide with 3:1 side slopes and run 1,400 feet from the water control structure toward the main pool of the marsh. Spoil material will be hauled from the marsh and placed on designated upland areas.

This project consists of installation of an above ground fuel storage tank for diesel fuel. Fuel storage is for an existing backup generator. Underground supply piping will transport fuel approximately 300' to the generator.

Storm Lake Fish Hatchery, part of the Black Hawk Fish Management Unit, needs a life-support back-up generator. A new 25kVA wheel mounted generator to run the current water pump will be installed with a new automatic transfer switch and associated panel upgrades.
