The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. This project consists of removing and replacing the fish cleaning table, concrete pad, and utilities at
McIntosh Woods State Park in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa.
This project consists of pavement preservation; crack cleaning and filling, patching, and fog sealing at Pleasant Creek State Recreation Area, Linn County, Iowa.

McIntosh Woods State Park has a Shelter and Fish Cleaning Shelter, and Ventura Access also has a shelter. All of these structures are in need of a new roof. This project will include removing all existing roofing, new fascia boards, and new steel roofing and underlayment on the structures. The Fish Cleaning Shelter will have its skylights removed and filled-in.
This project involves removing a deteriorating 21" corrugated metal pipe and replacing with a 24" reinforced concrete pipe. Also, removal of asphalt over the culvert and replacement with a 6" thick concrete roadway surface.

Maquoketa Caves State Park has an existing fence around it's wastewater lagoons. The project consists of removing the existing fence and replacing it in the same location with a 8' high deer exclusion fence, including a 12' wide x 8' tall gate.

Install kayak launch as detailed in the plans for project 22-05-91-07. The Kayak Launch was not able to be installed under that contract because Lake Ahquabi has not yet reached full pool due to drought. All materials for the kayak launch are stored onsite. It is expected that Lake Ahquabi will reach full pool in the spring of 2024.
