The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual.  Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms,  Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.

Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis. To subscribe to this list, click here.

The Department will be utilizing the vendor Beeline and Blue to provide printed copies of Plans and Specifications and Addenda upon request. The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. GREAT LAKES WILDLIFE UNIT
APPLE JACK MARSH/WEST OKOBOJI

   This project is designed to improve the function of an existing wetland marsh in the Welch Lake wildlife management area (Dickinson Co.) by redirecting water through the system, increasing silt storage capacity, and installing of a rock fish barrier. Work includes dewatering and channel excavation, shallow water wetland excavation, 200' of Fieldstone fish barrier, and a small amount of wetland dike work.

MITCHELL -- PROJECT # 17-03-66-01                10/13/2016                Small Project Letting
ROCK CREEK
WRAGE LOW WATER CROSSING
Proposal Guarantee: $0
Completion Date: 11/30/2016

   This project consists of constructing a low water crossing and rock arch rapid on Rock Creek. The contractor shall furnish and place 70 tons of derrick stone as shown in the plans and as directed by the DNR Engineer. Derrick stones shall be placed such that the flat side of the stone is approximately horizontal. The contractor shall furnish and place 45 tons of 6" clean crushed stone as base material for the low water crossing, and shall furnish and place 30 tons 2" minus crushed stone as a surface material. Minor site grading and clearing shall be required as directed by the DNR Engineer. The use of an excavator with a thumb will be required for this project. GYPSUM CITY OHV PARK
CORRIDOR PROJECT

   This project is for the construction of a corridor to link together the Phase 1 and Phase 3 areas of the Gypsum City OHV Park near Fort Dodge in Webster County. Work involves demolition, grading and fencing around and under Hwy P59 north of Hwy 20.

GREAT LAKES WILDLIFE UNIT
WATERMAN WETLAND / TILE REPAIR
Proposal Guarantee: $0
Completion Date: 12/2/2016

   This project is designed to repair an existing tile break and excavate a core trench on an existing wetland dike to stop unwanted water flow from the basin. The project is located on Waterman Prairie in O'Brien County, Iowa. Work includes repair of an 8" HDPE tile, excavation of a 250' long x 10' wide core trench, fill and recompaction of the core area, and fill of the eroded hole caused by the tile break.
