The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. Lake Ahquabi is undergoing an extensive renovation of the entire Park and this project will add a restroom for the Beach at the existing Concession Building. Four new family-style restroom stalls will be added to the existing concession building. A new shower tower will be installed adjacent to this building. At the historic Beach Shelter, the restroom will be remodeled to make it more functional for the shelter patrons. The historic structure will also undergo a restoration, rotten beams and purlins will be replaced, and all wood stained, while stone will be carefully cleaned. New lights will be installed in the shelter and site lighting will also be replaced. Also, a new ADA kayak launch will be installed by the contractor an existing dock.

Storm Lake Marina was constructed in 2008 and the current dock system is original. This dock system is old and in need of replacement. A new dock system by EZ Dock shall be installed in this project with new electrical panels, site lighting, sidewalks and stoop footing approaches.
This project involves clearing and grubbing 2 acres of trees, shrubs and vegetation's along the levee. lowering a 2,500 linear foot levee by cutting off approximately 3 feet from the top. Also rebuilding two washed out areas along the levee and installing two 5' tall flashboard risers to fit 36"Dia.cmp.

This project includes constructing a concrete slab with foundations and footings for a future 18' x 22' pavilion and an adjacent 16' x 20' concrete parking area with minor grading.

Clear Lake District Office is an addition onto a historic Fish Hatchery structure over 100 years old. This building is constructed from brick and decorative limestone accents. Some of the brick is broken and in need of replacement and the entire structure needs to be repointed. The limestone accents need to be repaired and the whole building needs a thorough cleaning. This project is designed to stop bank erosion by adding fieldstone revetment to select sections of shoreline at Triboji Beach (West Lake Okoboji) in Dickinson County, IA. Work under this contract involves supply and installation of 225 TN of fieldstone along approximately 275 lineal feet of shoreline and replacement of 125 SF of undercut beach sidewalk. This project is designed to add a 16' x 20' section of 6" thick reinforced PCC boat ramp to the end of the existing ramp at the Winnebago Bend Access to the Missouri River in Monona County. Work under this contract includes grading work for the ramp extension, temporary fill (onsite) for a push in ramp section, reinforced PCC paving, and riprap protection of the new slab.

This project is designed to replace three existing roadway crossing culverts on the Smith Slough roadway within the Dewey's Pasture WMA, Clay County. Work under this contract includes removal of the existing pavement and triple CMP crossing pipes, then replacement with three reinforced concrete pipes (RCP) and new PCC paving. This project is the first phase of the restoration of a CCC shelter at Trappers Bay State Park, Dickinson County, IA. Demo work includes the removal of all roofing, underlayment, and flashing. Following demo, inspection of purlins and beams for rot, trimming of purlins as necessary, power-washing, and staining of all wood will be required. New 2x6 T&G roof decking along with asphalt shingles and new copper flashing is also included under this contract. Contact Jeff Felts to obtain contract documents.

This project is designed to replace all of the exterior siding and address issues with veneer stone on the Visitor Center at Lewis & Clark State Park. The scope of work includes siding and veneer stone removal and replacement, new building wrap, new exterior flashing, 1 window replacement, and other minor repairs on the exterior of the building. The Lake Darling Lodge was constructed in 2008 with a Geo-Thermal HVAC system. This HVAC system was configured differently than what would be installed today and the system has lived beyond it's expected life. This project will remove all existing HVAC equipment and glycol solution, the existing duct work and geo-thermal wells shall remain in place. The contractor shall install new HVAC air-handlers, geo circulation pumps, buffer tanks, all new copper piping with armaflex insulation, aquastat controls and new CPU, and flush and refill entire Glycol water mixture.
