The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The Department will be utilizing the vendor Beeline and Blue to provide printed copies of Plans and Specifications and Addenda upon request. The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. Backbone State Park is the flag-ship park for the Iowa DNR. It was the first Iowa State Park and was established in May 1920. There will be a Centennial Celebration at Backbone State Park next year in May 2020 and this project will restore its iconic CCC structures. The Beach Lodge, Boat Building, Auditorium, and all three shelters (North, South, and West) will have work done on them to restore the structures to their original, beautiful appearance.

Project includes repairing a washout at a low water crossing by pumping flowable mortar to fill the void under the roadway and placing revetment along road edge.

Provide 168 tons of 3/8" pea gravel and place 6" deep on engineering fabric in areas shown on the drawings.
The gate on the lake will be open until November 1, 2019 and the water will remain 8' low until gate is closed.
Seeding will be required for all disturbed areas above normal pool water line.

The purpose of this project is to dewater the last 21.2 acre-feet (6,900,000 gallons) that remain below the drain pipe. Hickory Grove Lake is currently undergoing a restoration effort, and the lake has been drained down to the drain pipe (elevation 942.0). The remaining pool is approximately 10 acres in size, with a maximum depth of five feet, and a volume of 21.2 acre-feet. The contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, and labor to dewater the remaining pool to an elevation of 938.0. The contractor may discharge their pumps directly into the drain pipe.
