The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The Department will be utilizing the vendor Beeline and Blue to provide printed copies of Plans and Specifications and Addenda upon request. The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. The purpose of this project is to mechanically remove sediment from within the lake, construct a boat launch facility, replace the existing principal dam spillway, construct a granular surfaced trail and jetty, enhance the existing wetland, and incidental work as required by the DNR Construction Inspector.
This project entails the construction of a concrete boat ramp over an existing rock ramp and minor grading. All work is at Dunbar Slough in Greene County, Iowa.

The Iowa DNR would like to drawdown Geode Lake for a future lake restoration project. The sluice gate controlling the water levels was previously removed and a plate was placed at an intake in the lake with over 40' water depth. This project includes re-installing the existing sluice gate within the 53' deep dam tower and using divers to remove the steel plate at the intake to begin drawing down the lake.
Project consists of removal of existing structure & pipe, furnishing and installing water control structure & outlet culvert, placement of riprap on inlet & outlet, backfilling structure, and seeding disturb areas on Elk River WMA near Joice, Worth co., Iowa. Project includes placing an 80' x 12' reinforced PCC boat ramp on a granular subbase. Includes minor grading, borrow and placement of road stone for a new parking lot and access road. Project is located on the south side of the Iowa River within the Hawkeye Wildlife Management Area.
This project will construct cast-in-place PCC bridge abutments and install a pre-fabricated pedestrian bridge (140' long by 10' wide by others) at the silt dam within Lake Darling State Park. This is a rebid of a previous project with a reduced scope of work and extended completion date.
