The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The Department will be utilizing the vendor Beeline and Blue to provide printed copies of Plans and Specifications and Addenda upon request. The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. Spirit Lake Fish Hatchery is located on the isthmus between Big Spirit Lake and East Okoboji Lake. The hatchery grounds will receive a new shop and storage building with the following roof functions: eight (8) non-conditioned storage bays, two (2) heated shop bays, one restroom, a mechanical room, and a storage room. The storage building will be 40' x 142' with eight (8) garage bays with an insulated shop measuring 40' x 62'. The shop area will be constructed from structural insulated panels and will have in-floor heat. The storage area will be constructed with post-frame structure.
This project consists of installing streambank stabilization and a Portland Cement Concrete Boat Ramp on the Raccoon River, located in Sac County, Iowa and includes grading, placing riprap along river banks, installing toe wood for streambank stabilization, installing rock vanes and J-Hooks, and installing reinforced Portland Cement Concrete Boat Ramp on the Raccoon River.
This project is designed to restore/create a new wetland pool area on Hanson tract of the Christopherson Slough Wetland Complex in Dickinson County, Iowa. Work under this project includes earthfill (dike construction), excavation (channel), tile investigation, tile breaks, and installation of water control structure with 18" piping.

This project is designed to relocate approximently 1,000 feet of the West Nishnabotna River levee in the Riverton WMA, Fremont County, Iowa. Work includes some brush removal and earthwork to construct the new section of levee requiring 9,250 cubic yards of fill with a top elevation of 930.1 and side slopes of 3:1. Site Restoration required on all disturbed areas. Fill material shall come from shallow water excavation in the adjacent field. Proposal may be obtained by e-mailing name, address, and phone number.

This project is designed to restore three wetland pool areas in the Black Hawk Marsh Wetland Complex in Sac County, Iowa. Work under this project includes shallow water excavation, embankment (dike construction), tile investigation, tile breaks, and two tile surface outlets.

This project is designed to replace failing 8" and 12" discharge pipes exiting the Spirit Lake Hatchery Facility in Orleans, IA. Work under this project includes replacement of 8" and 12" VCP with 8" and 12" PVC, installation of two 12" gate valves, removal of HMA/PCC paving, installation of new PCC paving patches, earthfill (exiting pond dike repair), 18" culvert replacement, and revetment installation.
