The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The Contractor shall remove existing exterior deck surfacing and install new composite decking (Cabins A - D and 9 - 12) and new handrails (Cabins A - D). The contractor shall replace all exterior doors on cabins 9 - 12. The contractor shall also remove and install new cement board trim and stain doors and shutters (Cabins 1 - 8). This project is to enhance Backbone's upcoming Centennial celebration in the spring of 2020.

This project involves replacing and repairing deteriorated class 'E' revetment (Rip Rap) along shoreline in Viking Lake and other incidental work as required by DNR construction inspector in Montgomery County, Iowa.
This project consists of installing a 20-foot wide Class 'A' crushed stone road for a distance of about 1,050 lineal feet ending in a cul-de-sac located at Black Hawk Wildlife Unit in Sac County, Iowa and includes clearing & grubbing, grading, subgrade preparation and installation of a crushed stone access road with cul-de-sac.
This project consists of granular roadway maintenance - clearing, reshaping/cleaning ditches, blading/shaping, seeding/fertilizing spreading new rock and the fabrication of angle iron railing.

Backbone State Park is the flag-ship park for the Iowa DNR. It was the first Iowa State Park and was established in May 1920. There will be a Centennial Celebration at Backbone State Park next year in May 2020 and this project will restore its iconic CCC structures. The Beach Lodge, Boat Building, Auditorium, and all three shelters (North, South, and West) will have work done on them to restore the structures to their original, beautiful appearance.
Project consists of constructing a concrete accessible loading platform for boaters and PCC sidewalk at Village Cr. Access at Lansing, Allamakee Co., Iowa.

This project consists of repairing 3 dikes, consisting of reclaiming 4500 CY material downstream of two dikes, and reconstructing one dike with approximately 1630 CY barrow material at Sweet Marsh WMA near Tripoli, Bremer County Iowa. Replace existing (collapsed) 1000 gallons septic tank with a new precast 1000 gallons septic tank complete with connections & site restoration. The new tank will conform to specifications of Iowa Administrative Code chapter 69. The old tank will be hauled off site for proper disposal.

Project includes repairing a washout at a low water crossing by pumping flowable mortar to fill the void under the roadway and placing revetment along road edge.
Provide 168 tons of 3/8" pea gravel and place 6" deep on engineering fabric in areas shown on the drawings.
The gate on the lake will be open until November 1, 2019 and the water will remain 8' low until gate is closed.
Seeding will be required for all disturbed areas above normal pool water line.

The purpose of this project is to dewater the last 21.2 acre-feet (6,900,000 gallons) that remain below the drain pipe. Hickory Grove Lake is currently undergoing a restoration effort, and the lake has been drained down to the drain pipe (elevation 942.0). The remaining pool is approximately 10 acres in size, with a maximum depth of five feet, and a volume of 21.2 acre-feet. The contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, and labor to dewater the remaining pool to an elevation of 938.0. The contractor may discharge their pumps directly into the drain pipe.
