The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

Walter Lowell House (Cedar Rock) has a boat house which needs restoring, the exterior cladding is severely damaged and in disrepair. This project will include masonry cleaning, brick replacement, tuckpoining, concrete patching and other miscellaneous actions to get the structure back to its former glory.

THE PROJECT INVOLVES THE PAVING OF A PARKING LOT AND BOAT RAMP, PLACEMENT OF RIPRAP NEAR THE BOAT RAMP TO FACILITATE BOATERS RETRIEVING THEIR BOATS AND REPAINTING PARKING LINES IN EXISTING PARKING AREAS AND INCIDENTAL WORK AS REQUIRED BY THE DNR CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR.
This project consists of the removal of the existing electrical camp hook-ups and connections, distribution panels, hydrants and water fountain and connections and the construction of new electric wiring, camp hookups, distribution panels, water lines and hydrants, and seeding/fertilizing/mulching all disturbed areas located at Fairport Recreation Area in Muscatine County, Iowa.
The project includes dredging 500,000 cubic yards of lakebed material from Lake Manawa from a 60 acre dredge area and stockpiled on site at Lake Manawa State Park Includes any incidental work as required by the Plans and/or the DNR Construction Inspector.

This project involves the construction of a fish cleaning station that includes a concrete pad with shelter and fish cleaning table along with a sidewalk and handicap accessible parking. It also requires the installation of 1000' feet of sewer line with a lift station and 1360' of water line, along with electrical connections to a new transformer and other incidental work as required by the DNR construction inspector.
Brushy Creek beach has undergone the first phase of renovation, a new parking lot and is currently undergoing phase II of this project. It was the desire of Parks to install another six hole flush restroom to serve the shelter which is currently being built. This proposed renovation project will add a six hole (3 female / 3 male) restroom to the upper level area near the shelter. This structure is based on the design guide and will be constructed of stone and heavy timbers.
This project consists of replacing an existing water control structure, cleaning out an existing ditch, and incidental work as required by the Plans and/or the DNR Construction Inspector.

This project is designed to create new wetland elements on the Burkhart, King I, and King II Tracts of land in the Little Sioux and Fen Valley Wildlife areas (Gillett Grove), in Clay County, Iowa. This project is designed to create new wetland elements on the Hardecopf Tract of the Iowa Lake Marsh Wetland Complex in Kossuth County, Iowa. Work under this project includes earthfill (dike construction), tile investigation, tile breaks, tile/pipe installation (multiple sizes), tile surface intakes, and water control structures.

This project consists of replaceing an existing 24" flanged gate valve, support stand, stem, stem guides, operating stand, and all associated hardware. Additionally, two existing 10" flanged gate valves are to be removed and capped. The support stands, stems, stem guides, operating stands associated with the 10" valves shall be removed and disposed of, and all protruding fasteners shall be ground flush with the concrete.
This project is designed to remove the soft sediment from the Black Hawk Lake State Marina in Sac County, Iowa (City of Lake View). Work under this project involves the mechanical removal (dredging) of approximately 6,200 CY of material from the marina bottom with a max depth of cut anticipated at 3.5'.

This project consists of repairing approximately 6,200 LF of earthen dike and replacing a water control structure at Goose Lake Wildlife Management Area in Clinton County, Iowa.
