The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The Department will be utilizing the vendor Beeline and Blue to provide printed copies of Plans and Specifications and Addenda upon request. The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. | | This project is designed to repair and slow the rate of erosion along a 650' stretch of East Okoboji Lake shoreline in an area commonly known as "East Okoboji Beach" in Dickinson County, Iowa. Work includes installation of 100% natural coir logs along the cut bank areas followed by grading and backfill to re-establish the natural shoreline and backslope grading. Following grading, a 25' buffer of short grass prairie will be seeded and mulched to act as a buffer and natural erosion deterrent. Also included in the contract is establishment of erosion stone dock approaches to aid in the installation and removal of the local docks while preventing erosion

The sluice gate controlling the water levels was previously removed and a plate was placed at an intake in the lake with over 40' water depth. This project includes re-installing the existing sluice gate within the 53' deep dam tower and using divers to remove the steel plate at the intake to begin drawing down the lake.
