The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The Contractor shall remove existing exterior deck surfacing and install new composite decking (Cabins A D and 9 12) and new handrails (Cabins A D). The contractor shall replace all exterior doors on cabins 9 12. The contractor shall also remove and install new cement board trim and stain doors and shutters (Cabins 1 8). This project is to enhance Backbones upcoming Centennial celebration in the spring of 2020.

2312 - GRANULAR SURFACING ON ROAD, CLASS A CRUSHED STONE
This project involves replacing and repairing deteriorated class 'E' revetment (Rip Rap) along shoreline in Viking Lake and other incidental work as required by DNR construction inspector in Montgomery County, Iowa.
This project consists of installing a 20-foot wide Class 'A' crushed stone road for a distance of about 1,050 lineal feet ending in a cul-de-sac located at Black Hawk Wildlife Unit in Sac County, Iowa and includes clearing & grubbing, grading, subgrade preparation and installation of a crushed stone access road with cul-de-sac.
This project is designed to make a maintenance access to the southeast portion of the property. Contractor shall remove 6 of sediment from the bottom of the ditch and compact the 3 clean rock in its place to create a stable base for the new 48 diameter CMP that is 30 long, remainder of the 3 clean rock to be placed on the top of the crossing. The CMP shall be galvanized: Hot rolled steel that is coated in zinc to form a 2oz/sq. ft. protective coating. Create a 20 wide overflow spillway for high flows on the north side of the ditch that is equal in elevation to the top of the new 48 CMP. Use the excavated material from the overflow spillway to backfill the new CMP. Seeding is required for all disturbed areas.

Cut down all trees and shrubs along roadway that are 4 in diameter or larger along both sides of paved roadway.
All trees and shrubs shall be cut at ground level and treated to prevent regrowth.
All cut trees and shrubs shall be placed in road ditch and not in crop fields, no branches shall be left within 5 of pavement edge.
There is approximately 45 trees on the north side of the roadway, 15 trees on the east side of the roadway by the boat ramp and 130 trees on the south side of the roadway.
The trees removed along the road in the boat ramp area shall be placed in a pile off the northwest side of the parking area. Other piles could be made along the roadway if the trees will not fit in the roadway ditch in areas that are not crop field.
Brush is expected to be removed flush with the ground.
Tearing up or digging in the ground is not expected on this project.
Disturbed areas to be repaired and seeded by contractor at no additional cost to the Iowa DNR.
Contractor shall take extra care to protect trees and property outside the construction area.
Contractor will be responsible for materials and equipment stored on site.

This project is to construct a NRCS designed pond in one of the pastures at Kellerton WMA. Pond to be an earth dike with 7,253 CY of earth fill and 84 Lin FT of 6" smooth metal pipe. Site restoration is required for all disturbed areas.

This project consists of repairing 3 dikes, consisting of reclaiming 4500 CY material downstream of two dikes, and reconstructing one dike with approximately 1630 CY barrow material at Sweet Marsh WMA near Tripoli, Bremer County Iowa. Replace existing (collapsed) 1000 gallons septic tank with a new precast 1000 gallons septic tank complete with connections & site restoration. The new tank will conform to specifications of Iowa Administrative Code chapter 69. The old tank will be hauled off site for proper disposal.
