The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

This project consists of removing the existing dam at on the Iowa River at Steamboat Rock and replacing it with a series of stone structures. Also included is riverbank shaping, riverbank stabilization, the construction of a granular boat carry-down ramp, tributary step-down structures, a granular foot path, and site restoration. The dam removal shall be staged to allow for a controlled release of sediment. Bid alternate #1 replaces the granular carry-down ramp with a concrete carry-down ramp.
Project includes constructing 6 gravel campsites and 2 PCC campsites with 50 amp electrical outposts and removing and replacing the sanitary sewer dump station at Pleasant Creek State Recreation Area.

Clear Lake State Park is located at 6490 South Shore Drive, Clear Lake, IA 50428 in Cerro Gordo County. In the Northern section of campgrounds there are two restroom/shower buildings. Only the restroom/shower building furthest to the West is covered under this contract.
The existing restroom/shower building is a modular prefabricated concrete structure. The proposed work will improve the structure of the building, refresh its amenities, lengthen its service life, and reduce maintenance and repairs currently performed by park staff. Work includes the addition of a standing seam metal roof, removal and replacement of construction joints and sealants throughout the building, new painted surfaces both interior and exterior, new resinous anti-slip flooring throughout, floor slab modifications to improve drainage in shower stalls, new electrical timers, lighting, and exhaust fans, repair and replacement of faulty or damaged restroom fixtures, dispensers and partitions, and new outdoor sand "pre-rinse" shower tower station.
This project is designed to repair multiple shoreline erosion areas and stabilize 580' of shoreline with fieldstone revetment. The project is located on the Triboji Dock Management Area (DMA) in Dickinson County, Iowa. Work under this project included tree removal, installing earthfill (imported material) to repair vertical slope erosion, placement of fieldstone revetment for shoreline armoring, seeding, and erosion control product installation.

This project includes repairing a breach in an existing dike and excavating a new spillway at the Knapp Creek Impoundment within the Hawkeye Wildlife Management Area.
