The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

This project consists of decommissioning a dredge spoil site by removing the perimeter fence, excavation of material from the basin and dike to create a 5:1 slope on the east side of the site, seeding all disturbed areas, and incidental work as directed by DNR Field Engineer.
This project consists of removal of the existing asphalt roads and removal of trees and vegetation that are in conflict within the work zone, grading the project site, installing new portland cement concrete roads and parking areas for the existing boat ramp and beach areas, storm sewer and intakes, pedestrian walkway connection and seeding and mulching all disturbed areas located at Lake Ahquabi State Park in Warren County, Iowa.

Lake Ahquabi State Park is undergoing an extensive renovation of the entire Park and this project will install an office addition to the existing cold storage building in the office complex. This project will connect the existing building to the addition and re-side the entire storage building to make it look like the new office addition and follow the State Parks Design Guide. The project will also demolish the existing CCC office and house on site in a phased process.
This project consists of maintenance dredging of Heytman's Landing boater access channel from the boat ramp into the Mississippi river and incidental work as directed by DNR Field Engineer.
This project consists of granular roadway maintenance - small tree/brush clearing, ditch cleaning/shaping, blading/shaping, spreading new aggregate, placing revetment/erosion stone, the replacement of 2 culverts and seeding/fertilizing.

This projects consists of granular roadway maintenance - blading/shaping, spreading new rock and the
replacement of 5 culverts; 24-inch, 30-inch and 36-inch. All new culverts are RCP.
Completion date is October 31st, 2023.
There is currently a project in place to repair the Odessa levees which will have significant truck traffic.
The Contractor shall not start work until after the levee work is completed, anticipated to be
September 30, 2022.
No work may occur between October 28, 2022 and March 14, 2023 due to hunting seasons.
Due to fluctuating river and lake levees there may be sitting water in culverts. These are typically dry from
August to October. If the contractor chooses to replace the culverts during high water levels, de-watering
shall be required and incidental to the culvert installation.

Lewis and Clark State Park has a Visitor Center built in 2009 and the half-log siding is in poor condition and many areas were not properly flashed or installed correctly. This project will replace all of the siding and repair many of the concrete areas around the building as well as replace stone, a window, and other minor repairs.
This project is designed to repair surface drainage issues and add granular surfacing to a section of roadway at the Brown's Lake Wildlife Management Area (WMA). Work under this project includes blading and shaping of the existing granular roadways to establish positive drainage and then installation of Class "A" stone surfacing.

This project is designed to repair surface drainage issues and add granular surfacing to a section of roadway at the Big Sioux River Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in Lyon, County. Work under this project includes blading and shaping of the existing granular roadway to establish positive drainage, ditch cleaning/shaping, installation of Class "A" stone surfacing, and disturbed area seeding. Engineers estimate is $18,000.

This project is designed to restore a wetland area located within the Trickle Slough WMA in Dickinson County, Iowa. Work under this project includes embankment (dike construction), excavation (tile outlet), tile investigation, tile breaks, tile installation, and a water control structure with associated piping.
The engineers estimate for this project is $50,000

This project is designed to add rock fish barrier protection to a drainage and construct a granular parking lot for the boat ramp on the east side of Virgin Lake, Palo Alto County, IA. Work under this project includes the supply/installation of fieldstone rip rap, earthen grading, granular surface supply/installation, a CMP culvert, erosion control, and seeding.
