The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

Odessa WMA receives a 275 gallon donation of glyphosate (Roundup). This large donation is delivered in a container called a "tote" which is large and needs a proper storage containment building. This new storage building will have a 500 gallon containment vault beneath the floor in the event that the tote leaks. The building will have an overhead door, walk-through door and lighting. This building will be heated and be constructed of structural insulated panels.
This project consists of removing and replacing the boat ramp parking lot, renovating the beach area, constructing a new fishing access parking lot, and constructing a steel fishing pier.
This Project consist of constructing a series of Revetment Rock Silt Dikes, 746 Linear Feet of Bank Stabilization (armoring) 737 Linear Feet of Trail and Drainage Tile repairs
This project consists of a new storage facility for the State Forest Nursery which will provide storage for the large equipment forestry uses at this location. The proposed storage building will have two (2) 12'-0" and one (1) 20'-0" overhead doors, LED lighting and electrical power. Contractor shall rework entire site electrical, remove existing power pole and meters, run new electrical down to pad mounted transformer and then to a distribution panel and out to the buildings at the complex.

This project entails the installation of approximately 8,000' of 4" drain tile (perforated), 500' of 6" drain tile (perforated or solid as needed) and approx. 20 new junctions connecting the 4" to 6" tile all at the State Forest Nursery in Ames, IA.

Repair Fishing Jetties - Meadow Lake, Adair County, Iowa.
Contractor to clear all trees and brush form the fishing jetties then purchase and install Class "E" riprap on the sides of the two jetties and Class "A" crushed stone surfacing on the top of both jetties.

Loess Hills State Forest - Tuff Shed Cabins, Harrison County, Iowa.
Contractor to purchase and install two (2) new Tuff Shed Pro Ranch Weekender (10x16) cabins on existing gravel pads prepared by Forestry staff.
Each Tuff Shed Pro Ranch Weekender (10x16) shall have the following items provided by Tuff Shed:
-Paint entire interior and exterior
-3'-0" 6 panel steel entry door
-3'-0"x3'-0" insulated vinyl windows
-Insulation in all walls, ceiling and floor
-7/16" interior sheating walls and ceiling
-10'-0"x4'-0" end wall porch overhang with pressure treated deck and posts

This project will construct cast-in-place PCC bridge abutments, install a pre-fabricated pedestrian bridge (140' long by 10' wide by other), build granular approaches and place Class E revetment at the silt dam within Lake Darling State Park.
The project consists of constructing two earthen dikes (425 CY), furnishing and installing two concrete water control structures, installing 10" dia. PE tile (1280 LF), and seeding disturbed areas on the Union Hills WMA, Cerro Gordo Co. Iowa. Proposal & Plan may be obtained by emailing name, address, and phone number.
This project is designed to repair and slow the rate of erosion along a 650' stretch of East Okoboji Lake shoreline in an area commonly known as "East Okoboji Beach" in Dickinson County, Iowa. Work includes installation of 100% natural coir logs along the cut bank areas followed by grading and backfill to re-establish the natural shoreline and backslope grading. Following grading, a 25' buffer of short grass prairie will be seeded and mulched to act as a buffer and natural erosion deterrent. Also included in the contract is establishment of erosion stone dock approaches to aid in the installation and removal of the local docks while preventing erosion

This project is designed to construct a rock surface access, boat ramp, and parking area for 12 Mile Lake in Emmet County. Work includes clearing/grubbing/tree removal, earthwork, rock surfacing (Macadam & Class "A" material), and a small amount of culvert/pipe work.
