The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The contractor shall demolish the existing North Campground shower building, including foundations, shown on plans. Prior to demo, the contractor shall cut and cap all utilities and protect for future use. Contractor shall then grade for and install a new Iowa Standard, family-style precast shower building, as specified. Contractor shall run and install all utilities, site works shown on plans and restore the area of construction. As an alternate to this contract, the contractor shall install one new Iowa Standard precast concrete double pit latrine and site work, as shown on plans.
This project is designed to repair erosion and stabilize the existing 300' jetty located in Storm Lake (Buena Vista County, IA) at Chautauqua Park. Work includes adding a small amount of macadam stone to get the jetty back to a level grade for the entire length, addition of 1,350 of class "C" fieldstone revetment along the sides for wave and ice protection, and 110 tons of class "A" surfacing for pedestrian fishing access on the top.
The project consists of drilling a new well to produce 70 gpm along with installing a new precast building to house pressure tanks and disinfection system. Boring a new 3500 ft. long 2 inch watermain to connect the system to the lodge. Project also include demolishing old structures and plugging 2 existing wells.

THIS PROJECT CONSISTS OF INSTALLING A PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE CANOE RAMP, ON THE BOONE RIVER LOCATED IN WEBSTER COUNTY, IOWA AND INCLUDES GRADING, PLACING RIPRAP ALONG RIVER BANKS, AND INSTALLING REINFORCED PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE CANOE ACCESS RAMP ONTO THE BOONE RIVER.

This project is for the placement of riprap and erosion stone between the beach and fish house at Lake Ahquabi State Park. Stone will be placed over engineering fabric. Construction window is from August 23 to November 21 excluding weekends and state holidays.

This project involves removal of the swimming pool at Waubonsie State Park and any incidental work as required by the D.N.R Field Engineer in Fremont County. IA
Remove existing swimming pool, concrete pool deck, fence, lighting, underground piping and other items used for the pool. The underground water supply piping shall be disconnected and capped in the manhole at the NW corner of the pool. All lights and poles shall be removed in there entirety except the one in the NW corner with the electrical panel and it should be cut off above the panel as the panel is to remain. When evertything is removed the earth banks on the east and south side shall be moved to the north and west side to make a 4:1 slope and the remainder of the area shall be shaped to drain.
Contractor will be responsible for materials and equipment stored on site.
Site Restoration required for all disturbed areas.

Repair Silt Dike- Viking Lake State Park, Montgomery County, Iowa.
This project involves replacement of the outlet pipe on a silt pond at Viking Lake State Park and any other incidental work as required by the D.N.R Field Engineer in Montgomery County. IA
The existing dike has a watermain that can NOT be disturbed.
Brush removal is required on the pond dike and brush will be piled on the NW side of the pond.
The new 8" diameter smooth metal pipe shall have 2 anti-seep colars installed as shown on the drawing.
The new 8"diameter pipe shall have a canopy inlet installed on the pipe.
The canopy inlet shall be incidental to the new pipe and not paid separately.
Reshaping the washed out area on the outlet of the emergency spillway is required and this shall be incidental to the clearing and grubbing item and not paid separately.
Contractor will be responsible for materials and equipment stored on site.
Site Restoration required for all disturbed areas.
