The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The Department will be utilizing the vendor Beeline and Blue to provide printed copies of Plans and Specifications and Addenda upon request. The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. THE EB LYONS SECTION OF MINES OF SPAIN STATE RECREATION AREA WILL RECEIVE A NEW STORAGE GARAGE ON THE SITE AND THE EXISTING GARAGE WILL BE DEMOLISHED AS PART OF A SEPARATE CONTRACT. THE NEW GARAGE WILL HAVE THREE BAYS, A SMALL BREAK ROOM AREA, MECHANICAL ROOM AND RESTROOM. THE EXTERIOR OF THE GARAGE WILL HAVE A SMALL, FENCED-IN YARD AND DRIVE TO THE SITE.
The removal of 2 existing concrete boat ramps, construction of a new double lane boat ramp, additions to the existing asphalt parking lots, and construction of a rain garden
This project consists of the removal of the existing asphalt roadway along with adjacent loops and parking areas and the construction of a new portland cement concrete roadway, loops and parking areas in its place requiring tree clearing, grading, culverts, paint striping, signage, and seeding/fertilizing/mulching all disturbed areas located at Walnut Woods State Park in Polk County, Iowa.

Project consists of 65 full depth HMA finish joint patches and 180 SY of full depth HMA finish patches in the Mines Of Spain SRA, Dubuque Co., Iowa. Plans & proposal may be obtained by email.
This project is designed to stabilize the stream bank and improve fish habitat on Iowa side of Big Sioux River just downstream of the pedestrian bridge in the Klondike access area, Lyon County. Excavation and placement of spoils within project site will shape existing vertical banks to restored condition (3:1-7:1). Toe of bank will be armored with Class D riprap stone. Rock vanes will be constructed into river channel, descending from bank full elevation and dropping in elevation below the low flow water level toward the end of the vane. Vanes will be constructed of Class D rirap base with derrick stone weir boulders.

This project is designed to create multiple wetland basins on the Kelley Tract of property located on the Dewey's Pasture Wildlife Management Area in Palo Alto County, Iowa. Work under this project includes construction of 2 earthen dikes, channel excavation, 820 SF of sheet pile installation, a small agridrain type water control structure, and riprap protection for the sheetpile.

Project consists of removing & disposing of existing boat ramp, place precast ramp planks on the ramp area in the water, place PCC boat ramp approach, minor grading, and seed disturbed areas at Silver Lake Park in Delhi,Iowa. Proposal may be obtained by email.
