The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The Department will be utilizing the vendor Beeline and Blue to provide printed copies of Plans and Specifications and Addenda upon request. The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. This project consists of grading the slopes and placement of riprap over bedding stone on the shoreline at Elk Rock State Park, and incidental work as required by the Plans and/or the DNR Construction Inspector.
This project consist of excavating a channel along the existing dam to increase the maximum depth of this waterbody to historical conditions and also excavating a channel from the boat ramp to the main lake to provide easier access for boat traffic.
Park Residence at Dolliver has old log siding, windows, stairs and plumbing. This project will replace all plumbing (sanitary, water & gas) and will replace all siding and insulation, windows, stairs, and some electrical work. This project is an emergency repair to fix a plugged sanitary sewer line. Work includes removal of an 8"x8"x8" sanitary sewer ductile iron tee with an approximate 6' deep manhole and pour a standard PCC fillet. Removal of the top of an 8"x8"x8" ductile iron tee within an approximate 14' deep manhole (by confined entry). Includes all necessary traffic control and confined entry requirements. The State will provide all necessary jetting, videoing, and pumping of sanitary sewer by a separate contractor.
This project consists of removal of the existing boat ramp and replacement with a concrete boat ramp. Other items of work include articulated concrete block for propeller washout protection and riprap for shoreline protection. Send an email to request plans.

Repair a leak in Pond No. 43 by excavating, possibly importing clay earth, and recompacting berm. Placement of a bentonite blanket along entire southeast berm/pond edge.
Project consists of removal & disposal of existing pit latrine and associated sidewalk and install a new precast concrete pit vault latrine and new PCC sidewalk at Noble's Island Boat Ramp Area, Allamakee Co., IA. Project consists of excavation of low areas to enhance wetlands, installation of a small water control structure, and plug existing oxbows, on Geerts WMA, Chickasaw Co.,IA. Plans maybe requested by emailing your company address & phone number.
This project entails the installation of approximately 15,000' of 4" drain tile (perforated), 1,000' of 6" drain tile (perforated or solid as needed) and approx. 50 new junctions connecting the 4" to 6" tile all at the State Forest Nursery in Ames, IA.

This project is designed to repair a low water crossing that was damaged in a flood event. The scope of work involves removing the granular material from the existing crossing and installing new granular material with the proper cross section and gradation. The work is located within the Little Sioux Wildlife Area just north of Gillett Grove, in Clay County, Iowa.
