The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The Department will be utilizing the vendor Beeline and Blue to provide printed copies of Plans and Specifications and Addenda upon request. The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. Gull Point State Park has a shower building in the campground area. This project will remodel the south shower building built in the 1980's, which is in need of an update. This project will remove all plumbing and electrical fixtures and replace them with modern, efficient products, repaint the interior, refinish partitions as specified in drawings, replace the roof and the ventilation system. There will be some added site work, concrete sidewalks and lighting, to ease maintenance and decrease damage done by storm water.
Geode State Park CCC Shelter is a structure which has major architectural significance. This shelter had been closely replicated by the CCC throughout the State of Iowa in many CCC parks becoming an icon for State Parks in Iowa. Restoration of this structure will include removal of roof, some deteriorated roof decking and purlins, all building columns and cob blasting and restoring all wood. Replacement of wood products with like hardwood of same dimensions. Contractor to also replace the fire-box in both fireplaces with fire-brick.
This project is designed to provide boat ramp extension to the river bottom beyond the end of the existing concrete boat ramp. The river has been lowered due to the removal of a low head dam just downstream. Work under this project includes preparing a river bottom grade and setting of Articulating Concrete Block Revetment System mats to extend the ramp out sixteen feet . All work is at Frank Gotch Park in Humboldt County, Iowa.

This project entails the construction of a rock boat ramp, channel excavation, parking area construction and channel cleaning. All work is at Shimon Marsh in Pocahontas County, Iowa.

This project entails structure modifications to an existing control structure, including excavation, concrete, structural steel and stop logs. All work is at Lizard Lake in Pocahontas County, Iowa.

The project consists of upgrading 2 boat ramp areas on Rice Lake WMA by constructing PC concrete boat ramp (148 SY) on south side and placement of concrete walkway (315 SF) & paint parking lot striping (8.09 Sta.) on north side of Rice Lake near Lake Mills, Worth Co., Iowa.
