The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. DNR will be installing a lightning protection system at Honey Creek Resort. In late 2013, Honey Creek Resort's lodge was struck by lightning which destroyed many of the Resort's expensive electrical and tech equipment. The damage done to the electrical at the Resort totaled more than $150k. Installing this new protection system will minimize future strikes and isolate them for greater protection.
This project consists of converting an existing single cell waste treatment lagoon into a two cell controlled discharge lagoon. This will be accomplished by expanding the existing lagoon to the north and constructing a new divider berm to get the second cell. New intra-cell piping will be installed for transfer. Also a new duplex lift station will be installed along with the 7,400 ft 3" forcemain and 70 ft. of gravity outfall sewer to Cedar Creek.

Replace all of the furnace and AC systems throughout the ed center. The current systems have not be functioning properly and are 20+ years old and in need of replacement.
Project consists of constructing 50LF 0f 1 1/2' PCC curg & gutter, 60 LF PCC 4' wide waterway with curb & gutter on each side, contractor furnished Class 10 fill for reshaping slope, and see stabilization crop on disturbed areas at Volga River SRA, Fayette County, Iowa. Project consists of reshaping river banks, placing revetment (Class 'D' Riprap) on the banks, furnishing and placing large face stone on existing bankhides, filling in scour hole, removing tree from river, and seeding disturbed areas with a stabilizing crop seeding mix on N&S Bear Cr. in Winneshiek county and on Waterloo Creek and French Creek in Allamakee County. Project Consists of reshaping river banks, placing revetment (Class 'D' riprap) on river banks, filling scour hole, and seeding disturbed areas with stabilizing crop seed mix on Sny Magill Cr., Bloody Run Cr., and North Cedar Cr. in Clayton County, Iowa. Plans may obtained by email.
This project is designed to create new wetland elements on the Blackert North Tract of the Jemmerson Slough Wetland Complex in Dickinson County. Work under this project includes earthfill (dike construction), excavation, tile investigation, tile breaks, tile/pipe installation (multiple sizes), tile surface outlets, and a water control structure.
