The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The Department will be utilizing the vendor Beeline and Blue to provide printed copies of Plans and Specifications and Addenda upon request. The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. This project includes re-establishing eroded streambanks and placement of cross vanes, bendway weirs and revetment armoring on a section of Paint Creek within Yellow River State Forest.
This project primarily consists of removing 4" VCP sewers, installing 8" PVC sewers, and replacing sanitary sewer manholes in the campground. Some water main will be removed and replaced. Some water mains, sewers, manholes, and one septic tank will be abandoned and removed.
The project also includes full depth patches, seeding, an NPDES General Permit #2, and a SWPPP. All work, except seeding, shall be completed between September 8, 2026 and the intermediate completion date of March 31, 2027.

This wastewater treatment improvement projeect includes baffle installation, aeration upgrades, installation of chlorination and de-chlorination chemical treatment systems, and flume and sampling manholes at the lagoons. Electrical work is also included.

Education Center complex and restoring the site to a
natural state. Asbestos survey and abatement has
been completed on the entire complex. Also included

The project consists of granular roadway maintenance - Blading/ Shaping the roadway, shoulder work pothole repair, minor ditch cleaning, spreading/blading/rolling new rock, and the replacement of one culvert.
The contract period will be based on an approximate start date and working days, defined by Iowa DOT Standard Specifications, Series 2023, Section 1108, Prosecution and Progress. The approximate start date is September 30, 2026. There are 25 working days.
