The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual.  Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms,  Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.

Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis. To subscribe to this list, click here.

The Department will be utilizing the vendor Beeline and Blue to provide printed copies of Plans and Specifications and Addenda upon request. The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. VIKING LAKE
BUILDING DEMO @ ALDERSGATE

   Building #1 - Dorm Building 36'x64' with 16'x64' wooden deck to north, includes 17'x17' concrete patio on west side and all sidewalks. Building #2 - Shower Building 16'8"x16'8". Building #3 - Dinning Hall/Office Building 50'x120', includes sidewalks, retaining walls and cooler. Disconnect power for all buildings at the meter/disconnect for the building and remove all wiring to the building. Disconnect and cap waterline for all buildings at the outside valve and remove all piping to the building. Cap all sewer lines 10' from buildings and remove all piping to the buildings. Mark all capped sewer lines and water valves with a steel "T" post for future reference. Shape all building sites to drain after buildings and concrete is removed from site and seed as per spec 02930.

LAKE OF THE HILLS
DEWATERING
Proposal Guarantee: $0
Completion Date: 9/15/2019

   The purpose of this project is to dewater three of the upper lakes in the Lake of the Hills complex, located in Davenport, Iowa. The rate in which each lake's water level may be dropped cannot exceed 1 foot per day. Each of these lakes drain into the main lake. On July 15, 2019, Scott County Conservation staff will open the valve on the main lake to begin dewatering the main lake at a rate of approximately 1 foot per day. The main lake valve will be adjusted to accommodate additional inflow caused by the dewatering of the upper lakes. Mobilization may occur prior to July 15, 2019, however the dewatering process may not start until July 15, 2019. The contractor shall ensure that maximum pool elevations as described in Appendix A are not exceeded during the time period beginning August 15, 2019. The contractor shall maintain lake elevations below the maximum elevations identified on Appendix A for a duration as directed by the DNR. Payment for mobilization/demobilization and all other costs associated with the initial draw down shall be made as a lump sum. Payment for all costs associated with maintaining water levels below the stated allowable maximums shall be made on a per-day basis. The minimum number of days required to maintain water levels below the stated allowable maximums is fourteen, and the maximum number of days required to maintain water levels below the stated allowable maximums is twenty-eight. The contractor may use pumps or a combination of pumps and siphons to dewater the lakes. In addition to dewatering the lakes, the contractor shall either open or remove the drain gate valve associated with Railroad Lake. Care shall be taken to ensure that the pipe flange and pipe remain undamaged.

PIKES POINT SHELTER ROOF REPAIRS

   The scope of this project includes the repair of fire damaged sheeting and then reshingling of the entire roof at the shelter in Pikes Point State Park, Dickinson County, IA. Work will include removal of all existing roof surfacing and damaged sheeting, replacement of ¾" thick roof sheeting, and installation of new asphalt shingle roofing and associated flashings.
