The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The Department will be utilizing the vendor Beeline and Blue to provide printed copies of Plans and Specifications and Addenda upon request. The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. The Rathbun Wildlife Unit needs an office space at the Sedan Bottoms location. A recently acquired piece of land has been set aside for this new office location and this project will place a mobile home office unit on this site.

Viking Lake State Park has a Lodge which is in need of a few Accessible modifications to their restrooms. This project will repair the existing glass in the exterior doors, which lost their seals. This project will also install new solar shades on all windows in the Great Room.

WATER CONTROL STRUCTURE MODIFICATION & CHANNEL CLEANING

This project is designed to lower the elevation of a concrete sheetpile cap on one bay (10' Length) of the existing water control structure (WCS) along with approximately 1,500 LF of wetland channel cleaning at the Smith Slough wildlife management area in Clay County, Iowa. Work under the WCS portion of the project includes coffering, dewatering, demolition of PCC sheetpile cap, and installation of a PCC sheetpile cap. The channel portion of the project includes excavation of silt, moving of silt to a designated spoil area, and leveling of the spoil material.
