The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. A severe thunderstorm came through Jones County causing wide spread damage throughout the county in 2011. Wapsipinicon State Park, located in west central Jones County, was in the path of this storm. Straight line wind gust over 60 MPH blew over trees and caused power outages. Several large trees blew over or branches snapped off blocking the roads in the park and one tree hitting the shop. This tree did significant damage to the cold storage bay as well as the roof on the heated storage section. This project will be to repair the heated storage roof, trusses and ceiling as well as reconstruct the cold storage bay to its original condition.

This project consists of repairing several locations at Wapsipinicon State Park. Project scope consists of silt/gravel removal, granular parking lot resurfacing, removal and disposal of trees, placement of revetment and, the relocation of mini-shelters; including the reconstruction of the access road to mini-shelters.
This project encompasses sediment removal in and around the Park, which was deposited by recent flooding. The project will involve grading of the existing campground to improve drainage and reduce negative impacts of future flooding; minor adjustments to accommodate new features, resurfacing of existing camp pads, upgrading electrical service within the campground area, installation of A new RV dump station and onsite wastewater systems, construction of new roads to improve camp site access and general traffic flow in the park, utility work in and around the area, construction of a new office/shop building along with an onsite wastewater treatment system, as well as utility work in and around the area, and completion of other miscellaneous work as described in detail in the Plans and Specifications.
