The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The Department will be utilizing the vendor Beeline and Blue to provide printed copies of Plans and Specifications and Addenda upon request. The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. This project consists of installing a gravel entrance road, a portland cement concrete boat ramp, a gravel parking area and armoring the upstream shoreline to protect the new boat ramp and limit shoreline erosion located at the Sportsman boat ramp in Boone County, Iowa and includes clearing and grubbing, grading, installation of a gravel entrance road, a concrete boat ramp with adjacent gravel parking along with shoreline armoring consisting of riprap.
This project consists of demolishing the existing damaged wooden accessible fishing pier and constructing a new steel framed accessible fishing pier and fishing path along the shoreline north of the pier. Work includes pile driving, steel framing, field welding, deck and railing construction, and finishing. The new accessible fishing path entails grading of the shoreline to create a bench, constructing PCC sidewalk, riprap of the band, seeding of the cut bank, and incidental work as required by the DNR District Engineer.
Project includes constructing a 500 LF emergency access gravel road and a small concrete boat ramp at Crow Creek WMA. Contact Mark Moeller for plans and specs.

Lake Macbride's fishing pier is 25+ years old and the wood decking and railings are beyond their expected life-span. This project will replace all wood decking, railings, some concrete work, and accessories as shown.
