The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The Department will be utilizing the vendor Beeline and Blue to provide printed copies of Plans and Specifications and Addenda upon request. The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. PRAIRIE LAKES WILDLIFE HQ BUILDING PAD GRADING & ELECTRICAL

This project is designed to create a level building pad area, and supply an electrical service for a future building that will be moved from another location. The building site is located at the Prairie Lakes Wildlife area headquarters (Ruthven) in Clay County, Iowa. Work includes clearing existing grass/vegetation, installation of compacted fill material (Approx. 125'x70'), miscellaneous grading for drainage, installation of a new electrical service, and installation of rock approaches at the door locations of the new building.

THE DNR BUILDING AT THE IOWA STATE FAIRGROUNDS HAS BEEN A MARQUEE DESTINATION FOR FAIR GOERS FOR CLOSE TO 85 YEARS. THE DNR BELIEVES THE IOWA STATE FAIR IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHOWCASE IT'S MISSION AND ACHIEVEMENTS TO THE CITIZENS OF IOWA DURING THIS TIME. THIS YEAR, THE DNR IS PROPOSING A FEW IMPROVEMENTS TO MAKE CIRCULATION AND DEMONSTRATION BETTER.

The scope of this contract is to relocate a 55' x 110' pole style storage building approximately 9 miles from its existing location to the Prairie Lakes Wildlife Unit Headquarters in Clay County, Iowa. Work includes but is not limited to; preparing the building for relocation, moving the building with all necessary permits, law enforcement/utility coordination, and resetting the building on a pre-prepared pad.
