The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

This project consists of installing a new water treatment building, including new well controls and removal of old pressure tanks and controls from the scout lodge and park manager's residence. A new 3200 ft watermain will link all the park facilities, including manager's residence and Rotary lodge, to one central well and treatment system. The two old wells at Park manager's residence and at the Rotary lodge will be plugged and capped.

CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE HAS OCCURRED TO THE BRICK OF THE SHELL STRUCTURE AT THE IOWA DNR BUILDING. THIS IS PRIMARILY CAUSED BY POOR WATER MANAGEMENT BECAUSE THE ROOF HAS LEAKED AS WAS NOT PROPERLY MAINTAINED. NOW THAT THE ROOF HAS BEEN REPLACED THE BUILDING'S MARONRY SHELL NOW HAS TO BE RESTORED. THE ENTIRE SHELL WILL BE REPOINTED AND NEW PAINTING AND LIGHTS WILL BE INSTALLED IN THE ATRIUM AREA. NEW LED LIGHTING WILL BE USED TO BRIGHTEN THE ATRIUM AND THE NEW FAN WILL CIRCULATE MORE AIR.

This project is designed to replace an existing water control structure (WCS) for a wetland pool on the 12 Mile Lake Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in Emmet Co., IA. Work under this contract involves removal of an existing 8' tall 4' dia vertical CMP WCS and replacing that with a 4'x4' precast vertical concrete box. Other work includes installation of 80 LF of 14" HDPE pipe, stoplog channels, a stoplog storage structure, and some other incidental structure work.

This project is for the purchase and installation of a precast concrete pit latrine at the beach boat ramp area of Big Creek State Park. The building shall be a right hand CXT Cascadian style structure or equal. Installation includes the excavation for the pit and backfill after the erection of the building. The delivery and erection of the building is a part of this contract. Walkway to the drive will be by Park staff.
