The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. Rathbun Wildlife Unit is located in Appanoose County, Iowa. There is an existing cold storage building on site that has received new close-cell spray foam insulation. This storage building will be built-out into an office and garage area in the future. This Phase I will focus on framing the storage area and office side, installing new steel liner panel in the storage section and electrical throughout this area. The office side will remain blank in preparation of Phase II but will have rough framing completed.
This project consists of granular roadway maintenance - blading/shaping, ditch cleaning, spreading new rock,
and the replacement of 2 CMP culverts with RCP culverts.
Possible alternate bid items include a granular boat ramp (in water) installation.

This project will remove and replace 34 SY of 7" depth PCC pavement, remove 30 LF of 24" CMP culvert and replace with 28 LF of 24" RCP with an apron, and install a new storm sewer manhole. Located at the main road through Lake Darling State Park.

This project is designed to water proof the north wall foundation and pipe penetration location at the Lewis & Clark State Park Visitor Center. Work includes removal of existing sidewalks and door stoop, excavation for the installation of waterproofing foundation membrane, granular backfill with subdrain, new PCC sidewalk and stoop footing, and new underground piping for the building downspouts.

This project is designed to repair/replace the riprap on 5 fishing jetties at Lake of 3 Fires State Park, Taylor County, Iowa. Work includes some brush removal and bank shaping and then placing 1020 tons of new riprap on five fishing jetties in the park. Site Restoration required on all disturbed areas.
