The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

This project consists of the repair of a slide area in Ledges State Park. 2350 CY of excavation, 3700 ton of shot rock, 463 ton of revetment, 250 ton of roadstone, 212 ton of porous backfill, 420 LF of ditch grading, 450 LF of perforated subdrain, 462 SY of pavement removal and replacement, 305 LF of storm sewer, 5 intakes, 3 anti-seepage collars, the removal of 3 existing culverts, 0.5 acres of seeding and 460 LF of 8-inch wattles.
This project involves 3,540 Linear Feet of Shoreline Stabilization at Beaver Lake with Class 'E' Revetment and any incidental work as required by the D.N.R Field Engineer in Dallas Co. IA
Black Hawk State Park and lake needs a fishing pier and shelter. This new pier will provide access for fishing on the lake year round and in inclement weather as the structural will provide shelter. This pier and structural will be accessible, have accessible parking nearby and have lighting in low-light conditions.
This project consists of removing the existing HMA pavement and base material and placing 6" PCC pavement over 6" granular subbase at two boat ramp parking lots.
The project consists of contractor furnishing and installation of two 530 gallon double walled fuel tanks on a concrete slab including tank venting equipment & monitoring, product fill & dispensing accessories, and provide power from a DNR block storage building at Yellow River State Forest saw mill area near Harpers Ferry, Iowa. Rathbun Fish Hatchery's boiler room has a ballasted EPDM roof which needs to be replaced. The membrane is stretched and has many different leaks. The contractor shall remove all ballast on the roof, then remove the entire EPDM membrane and all associated items. Existing rigid insulation to remain. Clean entire roof, add new 1/4" dens deck prime and, if needed, new wood substrate. Contractor to install new PVC membrane roof following all manufacturer's instructions for install and create new drainage flow as shown on plans. Contractor to install new pipe, vent and curb flashing, boots and drainage items. Contractor to install new curb and scupper flashing and two new head box downspouts. As an alternate bid item on this contract the contractor shall remove existing liners from all gutters and install new PVC membrane within all gutters. Contractor must demonstrate a minimum of ten (10) previous projects installing fully-adhered PVC, TPO or EPDM membrane projects similar to the scope of this project.

This project is designed to repair two soil erosion areas on an existing diversion channel located in the Deer Creek Wildlife Management Area (WMA). Work will include earthen excavation and fill to re-grade the repair areas and improve the function of the channel. Installation of rolled erosion control products to stabilize the repairs, and seeding will also be required.

Erosion Repairs West Boundary - 3 Mile Lake, Union County, Iowa.
North Area:
-30 tons Class "E" Riprap
Contractor to clear all trees and brush form the north area (approx. 50'x70') and reshape drainage area then purchase and install Class "E" riprap on the top of the drainage area. Trees and brush from the clearing and grubbing to be placed in the washout below the riprap.
South Area:
-45 tons Class "E" Riprap
Contractor to clear and grub all trees and brush from the pond dike and within 20 feet of the emergency spillway. (approx. 90'x100') Brush to be placed in drainage area below the emergency spillway then purchase and install Class "E" riprap on the top of the drainage area.

This project is designed to repair and reconfigure an existing wetland pool along with creation of two new wetland elements on the Mesenbrink Tract of land in the Fallow Marsh Wetland Complex, Palo Alto County, Iowa. Work under this project includes earthfill (dike construction), excavation (channel & shallow water), tile investigation, tile breaks, tile/pipe installation (multiple sizes), and a 48" diameter water control structure.

This project is designed to replace an existing 18" CMP culvert that controls the water level of a pond located on the Lee Tract of the Big Sioux River Wildlife Complex (Lyon, Co.). Work will include removal of the old pipe, installation of 115' of new 18" CMP, backfill & grading, along with a small amount of stone protection at both ends of the pipe. Installation of rolled erosion control product to stabilize the repair, and seeding will also be required.
