The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The Department will be utilizing the vendor Beeline and Blue to provide printed copies of Plans and Specifications and Addenda upon request. The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. The existing roof structure on Rathbun hatchery residences are poorly designed and allow water to infiltrate below the window line on the clearstory area. This project will remove the entire roof and replace with steel roofing, spray foaming the cavity of the roof and installing new clearstory windows. As an alternate, interior wall sheathing will be removed and mold abated, then sheathed with new gypsum board with new lighting. Another alternate will see house #3 demolished.
The project includes saw cutting and removing part of the existing asphalt park road and the construction of a new PCC roadway pavement for a distance of roughly 1,000 lineal feet with parking areas, PCC sidewalks, a boat ramp PCC pavement parking area, and a PCC recreational trail, requiring clearing and grubbing, rough and finish grading, storm sewer construction, PCC paving, a pit latrine, and seeding/fertilizing/mulching all disturbed areas located at Lake Darling State Park in Washington County, Iowa.

Project consists of improving fish habitat by installing 3 rock vortex weirs, 15 bank hides, and bank shaping on Upper Maquoketa River near Strawberry Point, Clayton Co., Iowa. Project will require 243 ton Class 'D' riprap, 108 ton large stone (1.25+ ton each), 149 ton extra-large stone (1.25+ ton each). DNR will furnish the bank hides. Project consists of removing & replacing existing distribution panel, reconnecting campground conductors, and providing new copper conductors from primary service to new distribution panel at Pikes Peak State Park campground near McGregor in Clayton County, Iowa. Repair erosion at the Hawkeye Shooting Range in the Hawkeye Wildlife Management Area by cutting 11,700 CY of earth to reduce the slopes to more acceptable levels, placing 7,600 SY of turf reinforcement matting and hydroseeding.
