The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

HONEY CREEK RESORT STATE PARK WILL BE RECEIVING AN IOWA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES DESIGN GUIDE ENTRANCE PORTAL. IT WILL HAVE REAL STONE BRICKING (LIMESTONE), STEEL BRACKETING AND GLULAM TIMBER SUPPORTS AS WELL AS LIMESTONE CAPSTONES.
This project consists of the demolition of two (2) existing restroom buildings at the East and West boat ramps and installing new precast concrete restroom buildings in the same location. This includes installing ADA sidewalks for access to the new buildings, all earthwork, supplying and installing the new structures and incidental work as required by the project documents and the DNR Inspector at Big Creek State Park in Polk County, IA.
This project involves the removal of the existing roadways, camp pads, utilities, restroom and shower building in the campground to construct a picnic area. Construction includes a new road, parking lot, modern restroom, shelter and utilities at Lake Manawa State Park, Pottawattamie County, Iowa.

The Fire Tower Road Rock project consists of placing approximately 3700 ton road surfacing and 198 ton Class D Riprap on 5 miles of roadway at various locations in Yellow River State Forest near Harpers Ferry, Allamakee Co., Iowa. Replacing a bridge deck with steel bar grating. DNR will remove and salvage any usable wood planks. Contractor will remove and dispose of any remaining wood. Add W4x13 beams at 36" O.C. Then add bar grating for new bridge deck.

Project includes replacing a deteriorated existing valve with a 12" Eco Valve including all necessary excavation, concrete encasement, compaction and restoration.

The intent of this project is to remove and replace the exterior steel skin of an existing 50'x87' Steel cold storage facility located at Gull Point State Park complex in Dickinson County, IA. Work will involve the removal of all the existing steel skin and trim along with the existing roof insulation followed by installation of new steel skin, associated trim, and a new steel walk door.

Project includes repairing a washout at a culvert outletting into the Cedar River by placing approximately 96 tons of Class A Revetment on 70 SY of engineering fabric within Palisades-Kepler State Park.

All boat bumpers will be replaced on the marina dock at Honey Creek Resort. The wood behind those bumpers will also be replaced. Ten roller bumpers will be added as well.

Project consists of excavating for, furnishing & installing a Huffcutt Concrete PT175 Pit Vault Toilet (or equal), some minor grading after the vault has been set, and seeding all disturbed areas at Lekwa Marsh Access, Clear Lake State Park, Cerro Gordo County, Iowa. The intent of this project is to install a pre-cast concrete pit vault restroom building adjacent to the parking lot at Trappers Bay State Park. Work will include excavation for the building, installation of a stone base, setting the restroom structure, construction of a PCC sidewalk from the building to the parking lot, and finish grading/seeding. The contractor will also be responsible for the purchase and delivery of the pre-cast structure.

This project is designed to create a new wetland pool area within the Dugout Creek Wildlife Protection Area (WPA) in Dickinson County, Iowa. Work under this project includes tree clearing, earthfill (dike construction), excavation (spillway and channels), tile investigation, tile breaks, tile/pipe installation (multiple sizes), and a water control structure.

This project is designed to improve the function of an existing wetland marsh in the Welch Lake wildlife management area (Dickinson Co.) by redirecting water within the system, increasing silt storage capacity, and installing of a rock fish barrier. Work includes dewatering and channel excavation, shallow water wetland excavation, 200' of Fieldstone fish barrier, and a small amount of wetland dike work.
