The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

This project involves 3,670 linear feet of shoreline stabilization by placing class 'E' revetment on 2:1 slope; replacing water control structure, seeding mulching and fertilizing all disturbed areas.
The Derecho of 2020 damaged the office building roof and many shelters and restrooms throughout Big Creek State Park. This project will be to demolish the Model Airplane and Firefly Restrooms, repair the roofs at Cadet Restroom and Shelter, Jolly Boat Shelter, and the office at Big Creek SP. The office will also receive new gutters and downspouts.
This project consists of pavement preservation; crack cleaning and filling, patching, fog sealing, double chip sealing, placement of shoulder rock, grading for drainage, installation of a roadway culvert and seeding, fertilizing and mulching.

The existing fishing pier at Lake Ahquabi was built in the early 1990s. The pier needs a renovation as the decking boards, shelter, and handrails are in poor condition and need to be replaced. This project will remove the enclosed shelter, add structural steel to the superstructure and a new, open air, steel shelter will be installed. New treated wood floor joists, composite decking, treated wood handrails, fish cleaning stations, and electrical will be installed. The adjacent boardwalk, concrete building slab, and asphalt trail will be removed and replaced with a new accessible seawall sidewalk to the pier.

Existing equipment is housed in a shed at the end of a cul-de-sac on 260yh Street, east of Jay Avenue intersection, near Allison, Butler County Iowa.
This project is designed to restore/enhance six wetland areas on the 4 Mile Lake Wetland Area in Dickinson County, Iowa. Contractor shall remove and replace the existing concrete pad and install a new dump station lid, wood bumper rails and manhole with manhole lid set to match existing grade. This project is designed to replace an existing park entrance sign with a stone entry portal at the entrance of Gull Point State Park in Dickinson County, Iowa. The existing sign is aged and inadequate per park standards. This project is designed to remove and replace the existing pit latrine at the main boat ramp with a new single stall precast concrete latrine. Building removal to include pumping of pit under existing building and removal of the pine tree east of the building. Protect existing underground wire to fishing pier and reconnect to wire from power pole after existing building is removed. Compacted Class "A" stone is to be used under new building as base and as backfill around new building. Site Restoration is required on all disturbed grass areas.
