The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. Backbone State Park - Shower Building Remodel project will remodel the campground shower building built in 1980s, which is in need of an update. This project will remove all plumbing and electrical fixtures and replace them with modern, efficient products, repaint the interior, install new partitions, replace the roof and the ventilation system. There will be some added site work, concrete sidewalks and lighting, to ease maintenance and decrease damage done by storm water.
This project is for the repair of storm/flood damage to dike and parking lot at Goodwater Marsh. The project consists of placing roadstone on parking lot, reshaping dike to original dimensions, riprap armoring to reinforce areas of dike, seeding disturbed areas and other incidental work as required by DNR construction inspector.

This project involves stabilizing of existing Island 2 by installing a riprap embankment ring around the deteriorated island and salvaging material around the Island to be used as fill to restore the Island to its original elevation.

HONEY CREEK RESORT STATE PARK WILL BE RECEIVING AN IOWA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES DESIGN GUIDE ENTRANCE PORTAL. IT WILL HAVE REAL STONE BRICKING (LIMESTONE), STEEL BRACKETING AND GLULAM TIMBER SUPPORTS AS WELL AS LIMESTONE CAPSTONES.
This project consists of the demolition of two (2) existing restroom buildings at the East and West boat ramps and installing new precast concrete restroom buildings in the same location. This includes installing ADA sidewalks for access to the new buildings, all earthwork, supplying and installing the new structures and incidental work as required by the project documents and the DNR Inspector at Big Creek State Park in Polk County, IA.
This project involves the removal of the existing roadways, camp pads, utilities, restroom and shower building in the campground to construct a picnic area. Construction includes a new road, parking lot, modern restroom, shelter and utilities at Lake Manawa State Park, Pottawattamie County, Iowa.

The Pine Lake State Park Emergency Road Repair, Phase 1 of 2, project near Eldora, IA
consists of removing (15" VCP) and replacing (18" CMP) approximately 75' of roadway pipe,
including aprons with metal toes, and repairing the associated roadway surface ~ 58 SY.

The Fire Tower Road Rock project consists of placing approximately 3700 ton road surfacing and 198 ton Class D Riprap on 5 miles of roadway at various locations in Yellow River State Forest near Harpers Ferry, Allamakee Co., Iowa. Proposal and Plan may be obtained by emailing name, address, and phone number.
Replacing a bridge deck with steel bar grating. DNR will remove and salvage any usable wood planks. Contractor will remove and dispose of any remaining wood. Add W4x13 beams at 36" O.C. Then add bar grating for new bridge deck.
