Up through 2024 cycle, the GIS linework went through the unnamed trib north of this location. ESRI had the name wrong (both branches called Frink Creek). NHD linework showed the southern branch was actually named Frink Creek. GIS line was adjusted to use this branch, ending at a pond on Willow Creek Golf Course.

Due to changes in Iowa’s surface water classification approved by U.S. EPA in 2008, this segment has presumptive Class A1 primary contact recreation and Class BWW1 warmwater aquatic life designated uses. According to Iowa Water Quality Standards, all perennial streams and intermittent streams with perennial pools that are not specifically listed in the Iowa surface water classification are designated as Class A1 and Class BWW1 waters.
