Prior to the 2008 Section 305(b) cycle, this stream segment was designated only for Class B(LR) aquatic life uses. Due to changes in Iowa’s surface water classification in 2008, a portion of this segment is now presumptively designated for Class A1 primary contact recreation use and a portion is, following U.S. EPA’s approval of a use attainability analysis (UAA), designated for Class A3 children’s recreation use. The stream segment is also designated for the Class BWW2 aquatic life use.
