The purpose of this proposal is to purchase equipment for the landfill to partner with local businesses to start recycling some of their current larger waste streams. This is a planning area that has not previously recycled extensively in the past. They estimate recycling approximately 250 tons a year and if the project is successful they would like to expand recycling efforts in the future.
