(Addition) DWS&HA has been included as the second source of oral slope factors in Table No. 2 of "Supporting Information" under "Help". Oral slope factors are back-calculated from the 10-4 Cancer Risk values from the 2006 DWS&HA, based on Formula I in paragraph 567 IAC 137.5(3)"a" as follows: SFo = 0.0035 รท (10-4 cancer concentration in mg/l from 2006 DWS&HA). Units = (mg/kg/day)-1
1/18/07
(Addition) Cancer oral slope factors added based on 2006 DWS&HA 10-4 cancer risk for: carbaryl (0.0009), dimethyl methylphosphonate (0.005), diuron (0.02), kerb (pronamide) (0.02), and propachlor (0.04). Units = (mg/kg/day)-1
1/18/07
(Change) Based on 2006 DWS&HA, drinking water lifetime health advisory levels (HALs) were deleted for the following chemicals: barium (2); carbaryl (0.7); carbofuran (0.04); 2,4-dichlorophenoxy acetic acid (2,4-D) (0.07); diuron (0.01); glyphosate (0.7); gamma-hexachlorocyclohexane (lindane) (0.0002), oxamyl (0.2); picloram (0.5); kerb (pronamide) (0.05); propachlor (0.09); simizine (0.004); and toluene (1). Units of former HALs = mg/l
1/18/07
(Change) Based on 2006 DWS&HA, drinking water lifetime health advisory levels were decreased for the following chemicals: bromacil (0.09 to 0.07), chloryrifos (0.02 to 0.002), endothall (0.1 to 0.05), fenamiphos (0.002 to 0.0007), methyl parathion (0.002 to 0.001), metribuzin (0.2 to 0.07), and terbufos (0.0009 to 0.0004). Units = mg/l
1/18/07
(Change) Based on 2006 DWS&HA, drinking water lifetime health advisory levels were increased for the following chemicals: boron (0.6 to 1), diazinon (0.0006 to 0.001), dicamba (0.2 to 4), disulfoton (0.0003 to 0.0007), 2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxy propianic acid (MCPA) (0.004 to 0.03), metolachlor (0.1 to 0.7), and trifuralin (0.005 to 0.01). Units = mg/l
1/18/07
(Correction) Drinking water maximum contaminant levels (MCLs) removed for aldicarb, aldicarb sulfone, and aldicarb sulfoxide due to an administrative stay of the effective date of these chemicals (2004 & 2006 DWS&HA). Absent an enforceable MCL, the statewide standards for a protected groundwater source for each of these 3 chemicals is based on its newly added lifetime health advisory level from the 2006 DWS&HA (0.007 mg/l each).
1/18/07
(Change) Cancer Group classifications were changed based on the 2006 DWS&HA as follows: atrazine (C to E); carbaryl (D to B); dacthal (D to C); dicamba (D to E); diquat (D to E); diuron (D to B); endothall (D to E); fenamiphos (D to E); 2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxy propianic acid (MCPA) (D to E); methyl parathion (D to E); kerb (pronamide) (C to B); propachlor (D to B); propazine (C to E); and simizine (C to E).
1/18/07
(Change) Delete oral slope factors for atrazine (0.222) and simizine (0.12). Units = (mg/kg/day)-1 due to change in cancer group classification from C to E based on 2006 DWS&HA.
1/18/07
(Change) Diazinon oral reference dose increased from 9E-05 to 0.0002 mg/kg/day based on 2006 DWS&HA.
