Like all living creatures, fish are susceptible to diseases, parasites, and other naturally occurring conditions in the water. If you suspect your fish is affected by any of these conditions, do not eat it. Consider eating smaller and younger fish which usually have lower levels of contaminants than larger ones.   • 2021 - Fish Kills-Winterkill: A substantial fish kill occurred under the ice. The severity of the kill may have been increased due to a release of distillers grain by a truck wash company. This occurred in December from a storm culvert into Cheslea Creek.
