Black Crappie
Fair
Anglers are catching some crappies moving into the shallows, especially on the north side, looking for something to eat. Small jigs or bobber and minnow worked slow or just drifted. If they are not in shallow look for them to be in the habitat out in 6 to 8 foot of water.
Channel Catfish
Fair
With the way the wind has been blowing work the leeward side off the tips of the jetties where the catfish can feed and still not have to fight the waves. Cut bait is working best, night crawlers come in second.
Largemouth Bass
Slow
Bass fishing remains pretty slow. Whatever you use working it slow and feeling for the softest bite is key to catching them.
Lake Darling - Last Updated: 04/03/2025

Channel Catfish

Good

Rainbow Trout
Good
A lot of anglers have caught limits of trout out of the pond since it was first stocked but there are still trout in there. They are the most cautious and timid ones so using a little more finesse is going to be required. Live baits and small bobbers or small 1/64 ounce jigs that don't scare them are best.
