Clay,
Thanks
for the update, I guess I don’t need to tell you that they’ll probably be
requesting a construction inspection in a few weeks when the certification
report is finished.
Have
they made any progress in reducing the leachate head over the lined
areas?

Thought I’d update
you on LNI’s new cell, which is visited this morning. Rognes Bros, Lake
Mills, is doing the contract work. Pumps were being installed in the
manholes. There is no electrical hookup yet, although electric lines have
been run to the site. The under-drainage system appears to be functioning
ok. The pad for leachate loading and the leachate tank have been
installed. The sand layer is being put in place. The sand is coming
from Fertile, Iowa. I’d say about 2/3 of the sand has been
installed. Terry with Earth Tech was on site for quality control.
All in all new cell construction looks good.
