Complaint of kill in farm pond. Complainant stated entire pond was killed and fish ranged in sized and species. Also noted dead fish a couple of weeks before incident. FO investigated, observing hundreds of dead fish ranging in sized and various species bass, crappies, bluegill, and minnows. Runoff from adjacent roadside ditches and farm ground enters the pond along the west corner.

FO took several water samples. Results do not give clear evidence that the kill was the result of chemical runoff. No evidence of ammonia in pond. DO levels were around 10-12 during investigation. However, temps of water were greater than 90 degrees.

Kill believed to be a natural fish kill due to temperature and low DO.
