The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

The Department will be utilizing the vendor Beeline and Blue to provide printed copies of Plans and Specifications and Addenda upon request. The department will no longer provide complimentary copies of Plans and Specifications to contractors or sub-contractors after award of the contract. This project consists of restoring Okoboji Island to near original size and height, armoring the perimeter of the island with 593 tons of fieldstone revetment, excavation of 300 cubic yards to reclaim island fill, provide and place 350 cubic yards of topsoil, and incidental work as directed by DNR inspector.
This Project will install six (6) new security gates at three locations within Lake Manawa State Park. These gates will keep people out of the Park while closed and allow free access to the Park during operational hours.
This project consists of pavement maintenance for 5.9 miles of HMA roadway, including fog sealing, cleaning and filling cracks, milling and joint repair, 1.2 miles of HMA roadway overlay, and incidental work as directed by DNR inspector.

The work entails flood repairs and road resurfacing at the Willows Wildlife Access and the Bradgate WMA near Bradgate, Iowa in Humboldt County and as directed by the DNR Engineer.

This project consists of adding stoplogs to the inside of the existing outlet structure so that water level can be manipulated seasonally for vegetation management and to benefit migrating waterfowl. A walk grating will be added to the cover of the structure to allow DNR staff access to remove the stoplogs when needed.
Cost estimate is $29,000.

This project is designed to recreate a wetland dewatering channel within Kiowa Marsh (Sac County). The channel shall be 5' wide with 3:1 side slopes and run 1,400 feet from the water control structure toward the main pool of the marsh. Spoil material will be hauled from the marsh and placed on designated upland areas.
