The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. THIS PROJECT CONSISTS OF INSTALLING A PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE CANOE RAMP, ON THE MIDDLE RIVER LOCATED IN ADAIR COUNTY, IOWA AND INCLUDES GRADING, PLACING RIPRAP ALONG RIVER BANKS, AND INSTALLING REINFORCED PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE CANOE ACCESS RAMP ONTO THE MIDDLE RIVER.
This project consists of paving the roadway and boat ramp parking lot, installing a vault restroom, constructing sidewalks and constructing boat ramp extensions.
The Storm Lake Phase II Island Stabilization project is designed to provide fieldstone Rip-rap protection to the existing big Island on Storm Lake, Buena Vista County, Iowa. The scope of work includes supply of class "E" fieldstone revetment, transportation of the stone to the island by barge from the designated staging area, and placement of the stone around the perimeter of the Island at the specified width and depth. It is estimated that about 4,655 Tons of class "E" material will be needed to complete the project.
This project consists of removing 423 feet of existing wooden seawall, furnish and install 4,490 S.F. of steel sheet piling, 10 concrete deadman anchors with tieback rods, 5 foot wide concrete cap and walkway, and other incidental work as required by DNR inspector.
This project consists of boring a 24" HDPE pipe through the dam abutment, install a filter diaphragm around the pipe, install an isolation valve, construct an impact basin, and construct an inlet structure. During construction, the contractor shall pump the lake down and maintain low pool elevation for the duration of the contract.
This project consists of approximately 79 ton of HMA transverse joint repairs (67 joints), 42, 5-inch deep, HMA patches, totaling 460 SY. 2.7 miles of cleaning and filling cracks, HMA pavement maintenance. A 27,700 SY bituminous seal coat with sand seal. 353 ton of Class A road rock - 3/4", and 30 ton of erosion stone.

This project consists of PCC (~500 LF) and HMA (~4.3 miles) crack and joint cleaning and filling. A bituminous fog seal on HMA surfaces, approximately 172 ton of HMA road widening and 190 ton of transverse joint repair. Approximately 170 ton of granular surfacing and 70 ton of granular shoulder material. Three painted symbols are also included.
This project consists of providing electrical power to several DNR-supplied components including motors, heaters, lighting, pumps, UV disinfection, feeder controllers, etc, for a new aquaculture system. The project includes installation of an electrical panel and phase converter.

Project consists of modifying existing water control structure by filling the inside drop of the structure with PC Concrete to approximately 8" above the existing inlet ledge, installing steel stop log channel guides near the front vertically and across floor, cutting a new 24" diameter outlet through back side, installing 24" CMP culvert from structure to county drainage ditch, and placing steel grating on top of structure at Clear Lake Pond WMA north of Clear Lake, Cerro Gordo County Iowa. This project consists of constructing approaches for the existing pedestrian foot bridge located at Lake Darling State Park. Included in this contract is mobilization, de-mobilization, rock stripping and respreading, earthfill, riprap, engineering fabric, and riprap. The contractor shall strip the existing granular sufacing from an area approximately 36'x70' at each approach. 300 CY of clay shall be placed at each approach. Clay is available at the DNR's stockpile location. The edges of the approach shall be armored with riprap over engineering fabric. A single 15 ton load of riprap shall be placed at each corner, totaling 60 tons.
