The following projects are currently advertised for bids. Interested bidders may find general information about each project, as well as printable actual Contract Documents in PDF format. The general information is the same project description provided to Newspapers and by direct mail solicitations. The Contract Documents include the Drawings and the entire Project Manual. Drawings can be printed on any regular or large format printers. The Project Manual includes Proposal Forms, Front End Documents, General and Supplementary Covenants, and Technical specifications. All these are also completely printable.
Effective October 2009, the Department will no longer be responsible for providing hard copy notice to bidders or addenda to either contractors or plan rooms. An email listserv has been created to communicate electronically with vendors currently on file with the DNR. As a member of this listserv, you will receive electronic notice to bidder information on a regular basis.

This project consists of removing the existing courtesy docks and installing commercial floating courtesy docks with concrete decking, gangways, placing concrete between boat ramps at site 1, and incidental work as directed by DNR inspector.

Pine Lake State Park is located just North East of Eldora, Iowa. The park will receive a new host, full hook-up camp site, two (2) new shower buildings, a new pit latrine, a new slab on the Center Point shelter, and interior renovations in the four (4) cabins. As an alternate, a new Design Guide shelter and demo of the original shelter. Also, the contractor shall demolish the existing shower/restroom buildings and miscellaneous other items as shown in the drawings.

This project is designed to repair a pond dike at the Aldersgate Camp at Viking Lake State Park.
Brush removal is required on the pond dike and brush will be piled north of the borrow area.
Fill material to fix the washout in the dike shall come from the borrow area on the NW side of dike, below existing trail.
The new 8" diameter smooth metal pipe shall have 2 anti-seep colars installed as shown on the drawing.
The new 8"diameter pipe shall have a canopy inlet installed on the pipe.
The canopy inlet shall be incidental to the new pipe and not paid separately.
Reshaping the washed out area on the outlet of the emergency spillway is required and this shall be incidental to the earthwork item and not paid separately. Site restoration is required for all disturbed areas including the access trail. Seed as per spec 02930.

Backbone State Park has a Beach Lodge which has poor lighting. This project will remove the existing lighting in the two assembly rooms in the Beach Lodge and install new chandelier fixtures and can lights throughout the two spaces.

This project can begin construction & demolition July 10, 2020 and shall be completed no later than August 14, 2020.
Contractor shall move all furniture to a safe location within the cabin and protect in place. Contractor shall then remove all trim, toe-kicks, thresholds, and flooring finishes and underlayment in cabins 9 - 12 (4 similar cabins total) except the main-level restrooms, lower-level mechanical rooms, and cabin #10 entry area.
After removal of flooring and prep for new floor, contractor shall install new flooring according to finish floor plans sheet A-100. Rough dimensions are provided but verification of accuracy shall be the contractor's liability. Vinyl shall be installed in the entry way, restrooms and kitchen area shown, the vinyl shall be Armstrong Stratamax - Ambleside vinyl, fully-adhered, or State of Iowa approved equivalent. The carpet shall be in all of the bedrooms and living rooms as shown on sheet A-100. The carpet shall be Shaw 18x36 Quartz 5T017 carpet squares, color to be 14740 - Zircon, or State of Iowa approved equivalent. The tiles shall be installed with carpet tile adhesive. Contractor to provide four (4) full boxes of extra tiles to the Parks staff. Contractor shall provide all transition, termination bars, and adapter strips as needed, existing accessory hardware is to be disposed.
Once all flooring is installed and replaced, contractor shall install trim, toe-kicks, and thresholds. Contractor shall thoroughly clean the cabins and return all furniture to the original location.

This project is designed to enhance three wetland pool elements on the Garlock Slough Wildlife Management Area (WMA), Dickinson County, Iowa. Work under this project includes earthfill (dike construction), excavation (channel & shallow water), tile investigation, tile breaks, tile installation (outlet construction), and a small amount of erosion stone.

Building #1 - Dorm Building 64'x36' with 16'x64' wooden deck to north, includes 17'x17' concrete patio on west side and all sidewalks.
Building #2 - Shower Building 16'8"x16'8", includes outside concrete at doorways.
Building #3 - Dinning Hall/Office Building 120'x50', includes sidewalks, retaining walls and cooler.
Disconnect power for all buildings at the meter/disconnect for the building and remove all wiring to the buildings. Disconnect and cap waterline for all buildings at the outside valve and remove all piping to the buildings. Cap all sewer lines 10' from buildings and remove all piping to the buildings. Mark all capped sewer lines and water valves with a steel "T" post for future reference.
Shape all building sites to drain after buildings and concrete is removed from site and seed as per spec 02930.
