Basis for Assessment
Used information in Iowa Fish and Fishing (Harlan et al. 1987: 11) to assess support of the Class B(WW) uses as FST due to description of the E. Fk. Des Moines River as "an excellent fishing stream for channel catfish, crappie, carp, bullhead, northern pike and walleye." No DNR stream use assessments conducted from 1990-1995 in this reach.
