Assessment based on information from the IDNR Wildlife Bureau.

Basis for Assessment

SUMMARY:  The Class B(LW) aquatic life uses remain assessed (evaluated) as "fully supported / threatened" (minor impacts) based on information from the IDNR Wildlife Bureau.   Fish consumption uses and the Class C (drinking water) uses remain "not assessed" due to the lack of water quality information upon which to base an assessment.  

EXPLANATION:  The aquatic life uses remain assessed as "fully supported / threatened" based on information from the Iowa DNR Wildife Bureau (see assessment for the 1998 and 2000 reports for more information).  

Fish consumption uses remain "not assessed."  In general, Iowa wetlands are not managed for recreational fisheries; thus, fish contaminant monitoring is not typically conducted at these waterbodies.   Drinking water uses remain "not assessed" due to the lack of information upon which to base an assessment.
