Stream use assessment.

Basis for Assessment

Stream assessment form indicates above average habitat for small stream in this region.   Coarse substrates, pool & riffle habitat observed to support a good diversity of headwater fish species.   Relatively low diversity and especially numbers of fish observed.   Suspect a water toxicity problem but source unknown.   Only species with more than three individuals were the relatively pollution tolerant bluntnose minnow and creek chub; approximately 20 individuals of each of these species were collected.
