Basis for Assessment
Do not have old monitoring station upstr of new Ames WWTP; however, lack of violations of Class B(LR) criteria dstr from the new outfall suggests good WQ upstream of outfall Assessment of Class B as FST is based primarily on JRO's walk through this reach in August 1991. Habitat improves markedly, and the stream channel meanders considerably, upstr from HWY 35 bridge: presence of riparian trees, scouring of pools at snags, and considerable re-meandering makes reach bet Hwy 35 and Hwy 30 well above average for habitat quality in this region: fishing activity noted in reach. Assessed as FST.
