Basis for Assessment
Used results of the July 1991 DNR stream use assessments to assess support of the Class B(LR) aquatic life uses as PS due to (1) habitat scores (21 and 18) worse than the overall median score (22) for DNR stream use assessments, (2) indications on field sheets of unstable, eroding stream banks, little substrate diversity, and extensive channel alterations (straightening), and (3) fish communities of relatively few (3) species, and most species are pollution- tolerant (e.g., red shiner and green sunfish).
